SMS CONSENT COMMUNICATION

‍ ‍

The information obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

‍ ‍

TYPES OF SMS COMMUNICATIONS

‍ ‍

If you consent to receive conversational messages from AID Upstate, you agree to receive appointment reminders, follow-up notifications, status reports, resource referrals, program updates, and similar messages related to your case management or prevention case.

‍ ‍

Example: “Hello. Can we schedule a time to update your case file?  You can reply STOP to opt out of SMS messaging from AU at any time.”

‍ ‍

MESSAGE FREQUENCY

‍ ‍

Message frequency varies based on your level of engagement with our services, your individual needs, case activity, and how you interact with our program. You will never receive messages unrelated to your services or care.

‍ ‍

POTENTIAL FEES FOR SMS MESSAGING

‍ ‍

AID Upstate does not charge for text messages; however, standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply, including for domestic and international messages. AID Upstate is not responsible for any carrier charges you may incur.

‍ ‍

OPT-IN/CONSENT

‍ ‍

Providing your mobile number and opting in to receive SMS communication is voluntary and is not a condition of receiving services from AID Upstate. You may opt in to text messaging by completing a consent form provided by your case manager, prevention specialist or other AID Upstate employee. If you initiate text messaging without a completed consent form on file, a staff member will follow up to obtain written consent before continuing text communication.

‍ ‍

OPT-OUT

‍ ‍

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time. To do so, reply “STOP” to any SMS message you receive.  Alternatively, you can contact your case manager or prevention specialist directly to request removal from our messaging list.

‍ ‍

HELP

‍ ‍

If you experience any issues, you can reply with word “HELP”, or you can contact our office by phone at 864-250-0607.

‍ ‍

STANDARD MESSAGING DISCLOSURES

‍ ‍

Message and data rates apply. You can opt out at any time by texting “STOP”. For assistance, text “HELP”.
