For men and women living with HIV/AIDS who require supportive housing, AID Upstate operates The Laurel, a ten-bed facility that offers lodging, meals and laundry facilities in a communal setting. Individuals seeking supportive housing at The Laurel must meet eligibility requirements including a minimum two month enrollment in our Medical Case Management program, clean drug screenings and a background check. The Laurel is not an Assisted Living facility nor a nursing home; residents must be able to feed, bathe and medicate themselves or arrange for an outside service to assist with these basic functions if they are unable to perform them personally.
